Expectations
If you're considering serving in the Children's Ministry there are a few things to know...
- A professional commitment to Jesus Christ that is demonstrated through Christian growth and is a model of spiritual leadership and lifestyle.
- A commitment to the Children's Ministry team supporting the program, ministry and mission of Children's Ministry and First Church in general through consistent attendance at Children's Ministry meetings and training events.
- A teachable spirit exemplified by a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through participation in a discipleship opportunity.
- A desire to serve as a contributing member of a dynamic team praying regularly for the other members of your ministry team, the children in your class and the Children's Ministry staff.
- A commitment to excellence exemplified by being in your classroom a minimum of 20 minutes prior to the beginning of your teaching hour, ready to greet your students, and adequately prepared to teach.
- A member of First Church if teaching a class, or pursuing membership at next available opportunity.

- To provide our servants with adequate training to equip them in their role as teachers or helpers.
- To provide adequate facilities, materials and curriculum and to keep these items in good order.
- To hold up each servant in prayer and by providing adequate support and assistance.
- To provide each servant or helper with a clear statement of our mission and job description for their role as a servant in Kids Community.
